Walter R. Schweitzer, beloved husband of Gloria (nee Gartner) Schweitzer. Devoted father of Kimberly (Michael) Hartig, Walter Lee (Shannon) Schweitzer, James R. (Deborah) Schweitzer and Jennifer (Jason) Estes. Loving grandfather of Ashley, Michael, Hannah, Autumn, Isabelle, and Abigail. Dear brother of Karen (Mike) McMannon, Donald (Evelyn) Schweitzer, and Douglas Schweitzer. Walter was a proud veteran who served his country during the Vietnam War. He spent his career in the hardware business, eventually opening White Oak Hardware. In his free time he enjoyed watching baseball, Nascar, and Cincinnati sports teams. While he enjoyed these things his true passion was his family, he was a loving husband and father who always put his family first and will be missed dearly. Walter passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023, at the age of 80. Visitation at St. Aloysius Gonzaga Parish, 4390 Bridgetown Rd., on Friday (Nov 3) from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am.
