Thomas J. Powers, beloved husband of the late Ruth (nee Frankenberger) Powers. Devoted father of Mary Jo (Mark) Strauss, Jim (Michele) Powers, Peggy Sellmeyer, Maureen Powers and Katie Powers. Loving grandfather of Henry, Ben (fiance'e Erin), Jason, Jennifer, Lauren, Josh, Michael, Caroline and Leona (Christian). Dear brother of late Bill (Barb) Powers and late Margie (late John) Moore. Also survived by his sister-in-law, Joan (nee Frankenberger) Volpenhein and many nieces and nephews. Tom enjoyed swimming and playing racquetball for years. One of his true passions were playing football, which he played at St. Xavier High School and Xavier University. Tom was inducted into the St. Xavier Sports Hall of Fame in 1998. He also refereed for high school football for 25 years. His greatest loves were his wife, family and faith. Tom passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at the age of 91. Visitation at St. John Church, 5361 Dry Ridge Rd. on Saturday (Dec. 30) from 9:30 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM.
