Thomas Jacob Bach, age 79, of Fairfield, Ohio, passed away on January 4, 2025, just seven weeks after his beloved wife of 58 years, the late Joan Margaret (nee Moelchert) Bach. He was born on September 12, 1945, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Camillus and Bertha (nee Entner) Bach. Tom grew up in Mt. Healthy, Ohio, and graduated from Roger Bacon High School.

Tom proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He dedicated his entire career to the insurance and investment industry at Western & Southern Life Insurance Co., and retired as a District Manager. His commitment to excellence earned him respect among colleagues and clients alike.

Tom put his faith and family above all else. He had an unwavering dedication to Joan, Missy and Tom, and his much-loved grandchildren. He was known for his kindness and humor and was the life of every party!

An avid Bass fisherman,Tom treasured his annual trips to Lake Okeechobee in Florida. While he thrived on the thrill of the catch, Tom and his fishing buddies were known to be big pranksters, and the stories he brought home from these trips were legendary.

Tom enjoyed playing golf with his beloved son and grandsons, creating many memories that would often be reminisced about at family gatherings. Poker nights with his work friends became a cherished tradition which he later passed down to his grandchildren, teaching the intricacies of the game, instilling the value of strategy, patience and most importantly, fun.

Tom is survived by his devoted children, Missy (Brian) Trotter and Tom (Michelle) Bach; his loving grandchildren, Chelsea Trotter, Andrew (Abbie) Trotter, William (Hannah) Bach and Austin Trotter; his siblings, Phyllis (the late Kuehn) Frederick, Larry (Kay) Bach; and his sister-in-law, Nancy (Rick) Berling. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Granddaughter Hannah Trotter; Brother Dan (late Karen) Bach; Sister-in-law, Susan (late Ed) Kuhlman and Brother-in-law, Alan Moelchert.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. on Friday (Jan. 10) at Sacred Heart Church, 400 Nilles Road, Fairfield, Ohio, 45014, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Tom's name to Sacred Heart Church or to the charity of your choice.
