Shirley May (nee Sonderegger) McClellan, beloved wife of the late William "Bill" McClellan. Devoted mother of Laura McClellan, Valerie (Greg) Beimesche and Steven (late Danna) McClellan. Loving grandmother of Carl Beimesche and Erica Beimesche. Dear sister of the late Henry (late Louise) Sonderegger. Passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021, age 96. Shirley was born and married in Detroit, Michigan, married Bill in Detroit on June 4, 1949, and moved to Cincinnati. Shirley was devoted to her family. Her professional endeavors included customer service and sales, office administration, waitressing, nursing, and even welding during World War II. Always the adventurer with her family, she enjoyed riding motorcycles, skiing on water and snow, playing cards, cooking and baking, cross-stitching, and playing with her grandkids. After retirement at the age of 55, she and Bill traveled the world, visiting all 7 continents and the 50 United States. She is now with Bill on her final journey to the Lord. Memorial visitation at Fairfield Community Church, 5650 Winton Rd. (Fairfield), on Saturday (Dec. 4) from 1:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 3:00 p.m. Following the memorial service, a reception will be held in the church fellowship hall.
