With heavy hearts and loving memories, we announce the passing of Ruth Ellen (nee Brown) Allgeier Kern, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on December 18, 1930, in Marion, Ohio to the late Hugh and late Mary (nee Paul) Brown, Ruth was a beacon of joy, compassion, and faith to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Ruth was the cherished wife of the late Victor Allgeier and the late Kenneth Kern. A devoted mother, she nurtured love and laughter in her home, raising her children with unwavering support. She leaves behind her children, Marian (Ron) Roell, Terri (Randy) Bross, Richard (Melody) Allgeier and the late John (Beth) Allgeier, as well as stepchildren Gary (Sue) Kern, Carol (Tim) Smith, Mary Beth (late Marty) Weierman, and the late Jeff Kern and Ken Kern Jr. A beloved grandmother to 18 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to many, Ruth's legacy is woven into the lives of her family, who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts. She is preceded in death by six brothers and five sisters, yet her love continues to shine through the generations.

An active member of her church community, Ruth's life was a testament to her faith. Whether volunteering, attending daily Mass, or gathering in fellowship, she embraced her role as a servant of God with grace. Ruth had a passion for life that extended beyond the walls of her church; she enjoyed ladies golf, was a social butterfly, and found joy in crafting, often sharing her handmade treasures with others.

Ruth's family invites all who knew and loved her to gather for a celebration of her remarkable life. Visitation at Bayley Place Nursing Home, 990 Bayley Drive (Delhi Twp.) on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 9:00 a.m.- 10:15 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Memorial Park, 11825 Pippin Road (Colerain Twp.), following the Mass. As we honor her memory, we invite you to reflect on the love and kindness she bestowed upon us all.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Bayley Place Nursing Home or a charity of your choice, honoring Ruth's generous spirit and the many causes she cherished.
