Rose Marie (nee LaFollette) Chaike, a beloved homemaker and cherished member of our community, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on June 6, 1935, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Raymond and Mildred (nee Stentz) LaFollette. She dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home for her family.

Beloved wife of the late Roman H. "Ray" Chaike. Devoted mother of Debbie (late Dave) Dine, Nelson Chaike, Suzanne (Donald) Richardson and late Tony Chaike. Loving grandmother of Morgan (Stephan), Guy (Sarah), Zachary (Robin), Casey (Rhea), Megan (Wes), Catherine and Samantha. Great grandmother of 9 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by siblings, Carol, Joan, Marion, Thelma and her twin sister Rita.

Renowned for her skillful hands in quilting, Rose was an avid quilter who poured her heart and soul into every stitch. Her generous spirit shone through the countless hours she spent knitting baby hats and sewing baby quilts for the little ones at Good Samaritan NICU.

A kind-hearted soul, Rose found solace in the simple pleasures of life - from immersing herself in the pages of a good book to challenging herself with intricate puzzles.

In celebration of Rose's life, a Funeral Service will be held at Frederick Funeral Home on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 1:15 pm, with visitation starting at 12:00 pm. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
