In loving memory of Roger J. Frey, who was born December 14, 1935, and was the cherished son of the late Carl Frey and late Dorothy (nee Bender) Frey. Roger passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026, at the age of 90, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother, Roger will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know him.

Roger cherished his role as a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 55 years, late Mary Ellyn (nee Dirr) Frey. Together, they created a warm and nurturing home filled with laughter, love, and countless cherished memories. As a loving father, he took great pride in his children John Frey, Mary Joy Frey and Michael (Jenny) Frey. The joy of being a proud grandfather to Rachel Frey, Emily (Chris) Earls, Sarah (Kyle) Berger, Tyler Frey, Lily Frey, Ella Frey, and Chris Frey, as well as a great-grandfather to Ryan Earls and Melody Earls, brought him immense happiness. He was also a dear brother to Evelyn Frey, Sr. Annette Catherine Frey, Barbara (Raymond) Buelterman, Bob Frey, Virginia (Tim) Zinser, Kenneth Frey, and Charles Frey and was preceded in death by his siblings Richard (Janice) Frey, Lawrence (Phyllis) Frey, Carol (Ron, late Tom Treinen) Klosterman, Joe Frey, and Mary Lou Frey. He was also preceded in death by his in laws, Gerald (late Carol) Dirr, Eugene (late Margie) Dirr, Patricia (late Richard) Spanagel, and Sharon (late Bob, late Joe Bollin) Geisheimer. Roger is survived by many nieces and nephews. Roger will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his family, and his memory will live on through stories filled with love and laughter.

Roger proudly served in the Army, embodying the values of dedication and service. His professional journey led him to the United States Postal Service, where he spent 36 years as a dedicated letter carrier, known for his hard work and commitment to his community. Beyond his professional life, Roger was a devout Catholic, finding solace in his faith as a parishioner at St. Ann Church, where he built strong ties within his community. Most importantly, he treasured family gatherings, embracing the love that surrounded him.

In honor of Roger's remarkable life and the loving legacy he leaves behind, a visitation will be held at St. Ann Church, located at 2900 W Galbraith Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45239, on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 9:30 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Family and friends will be invited to gather for a time of prayer and reflection, sharing stories, laughter, and memories that highlighted Roger's beautiful journey through life.
