With heavy hearts and fond memories, we announce the passing of Robert J. Schwaeble, known to friends and family as Bob, who departed this life on Monday, August 18, 2025. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on May 23, 1942 to the late Albert W. and late Katherine (nee Kahle) Schwaeble. Bob grew into a man who exemplified kindness, dedication, and love in every facet of his life. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth and cherished memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who loved him.

A loving husband of 60 years to the late Margaret M. "Marge" (nee Barth) Schwaeble, Bob found joy and companionship in a marriage that was a beautiful testament to true love. He is survived by his devoted children, Ronald (LuAnna) Schwaeble, Jennifer (Gene) Webber and Lea (Jeff) Simonton, whom carries forward their father's spirit. Bob was a proud grandpa to eleven grandchildren Emily (Amy) Schwaeble, Hannah (Dan) Jennings, Nolan (Alisa) Schwaeble, Brandon Webber, Dustin (Shanda) Webber, Kylie (Logan) Gittinger, Nathan Wiesman, Jacob Wiesman, Tyler Simonton, Hayley Simonton and Trevor Simonton, each of whom brought a sparkle to his eye. He was also a dear great-grandpa to Caden, Charlotte, Deacon, Bailey, Brynlee, Mason, Nash, and Dillon, whose laughter and play brought him immense joy. Preceded in death by his brother Dale (Sue) Schwaeble.

A true craftsman at heart, Bob's talent for wood carving was not just a hobby-it was an expression of his love for creation. He took pride in his flourishing garden and maintained a pristine yard, which reflected both his dedication and love for the natural world. Bob found peace and happiness in the gentle embrace of nature, especially while fishing, often with grandkids by his side, casting lines and crafting memories that will be cherished for generations to come.

Bob also retired from CG&E, a commitment that allowed him to further explore his passions with Marge, traveling across the United States and beyond, gathering a tapestry of adventures and shared experiences. He was always the first to arrive at his grandchildren's sporting events, rooting for them with an enthusiastic heart, ever-present in their lives.

As we prepare to celebrate his remarkable life, a Celebration of Life service will be held in the future, where family and friends will gather to honor Bob's memory, sharing stories that bring laughter and tears, reflecting on a life well-lived.
