Robert J. Gehrum, beloved husband of Donna (nee Kahny) Gehrum. Devoted father of Kim (Greg) Glassmeyer, Rob (Linda) Gehrum and Bryan (Angie) Gehrum. Loving grandfather of Stephanie Glassmeyer, Abby (David) Lake, Allie Glassmeyer, Robert Gehrum III, Jacob Gehrum, Dora Gehrum, Joseph Gehrum, A.J. Gehrum and Ruby Gehrum. Dear son of the late Edward C. Gehrum and the late Marguerite M. (nee Kramer) Gehrum-Hodgeman. Brother of Bill (Sandie) Gehrum, Debbie (Ron) Schnelle and Lisa (Fred) Novakov. Brother-in-law of Jack (Claire) Kahny, Marian Cardenzana, late Janet (late Joe) Ludwig, Margie (late Don) Wurzelbacher and Joyce (Don) Reverman. Bob Gehrum was an incredibly hard working, loving and gentle man.  He passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the age of 73, after a brief illness surrounded by his family.  He was born, grew up, fell in love, raised his family, and retired in his dream home on the west side of Cincinnati. He had many loves in his life; his strong faith, the great outdoors & nature, hosting large family gatherings, and fixing anything and everything for anyone and everyone.  But the greatest love of his life was his beloved high school sweetheart and wife, Donna.  These two were inseparable and lived a beautiful and admirable marriage of over 51 years.  They were by each other's side through all of the joys in life, and the tough times, too.  Bob would do anything to make Donna smile. His three children followed in his footsteps of staying close by to raise their families.  Nine grandchildren have had the honor of calling this incredible man 'Grandpa'.  At every show, sport game, concert, grandparent's day, recital, graduation, there was an ever-present grandpa showing his support and pride.  He spent years building the sets for his grandchildren and so many performers to shine on stage at his alma mater LaSalle High School. Bob was a jack of all trades and a MASTER of everything.  There was nothing broken that this man could not fix.  People knew they could ask Bob for help with anything and he would enthusiastically say yes.  He was the man with the endless to-do list, the endless project plans, the endless energy, love, enthusiasm and work ethic to improve this world and the lives of all those around him.  His to-do list was long.  His sudden passing leaves his list undone. Lucky for all of us, he did a lot of patient teaching of his children, grandchildren, and anyone who wanted to learn from his vast knowledge.  This is how his legacy will live on.  Our job is now to continue his legacy by being inspired by Bob Gehrum to always look for ways to improve the world the way that he improved everything and every person he encountered.  We love you, Bob, we will try our best. Visitation at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd., on Monday (April 26) from 4:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. (only 50 ppl allowed in the building at any one given time) Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (Harrison), 10010 Carolina Trace, on Tuesday (April 27) at 11:00 a.m. Face masks are required, and social distancing must be practiced.
