Robert G. "Bob" Koenig, beloved husband of 71 years to Mildred (nee Espelage) Koenig. Devoted father of the late Cynthia Holstrom, Robert (Trixie) Koenig Jr, Sandra Koenig and John (Pamela) Koenig. Loving grandfather of Aaron Holmstrom, Mackenzie (fiance Cameron Meggar) Koenig, Timmer (fiance Delanie Greco) Koenig and Jodi Koenig. Dear brother of the late Betty Jane Boles, late William Koenig and late Rita Chalfant.

Bob graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in chemistry and then worked for 38 years at Procter & Gamble. He started as a chemist then held roles including R+D technical brand manager and government relations. He was known for his sense of humor and kindness, loved to sing and had lead parts in many local theater productions, enjoyed golf, growing tomatoes, and made a mean pot of Cincinnati chili. Bob and Millie traveled extensively to every continent (except Africa). He loved his four kids and grandkids, and never missed an opportunity to ham it up in front of a group.

Bob passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, age 92. Visitation at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd., on Wednesday (Nov. 30) from 9:30 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church (White Oak), 3565 Hubble Rd., at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 644 Linn St., Suite 1026, Cincinnati, Ohio 45203.
