It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert A. Bennett, Sr., fondly known as Bob, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this life on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on September 13, 1934, Bob was a remarkable man, cherished by all who knew him.

Bob was a devoted husband to Nancy (nee Finke) for over 67 years, a partnership filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures. He embraced life with a zeal that was infectious-enjoying golf, bowling, and coaching football, always with a twinkle in his eye and a martini in hand. He loved to travel and share stories with friends or anyone who would listen. Bob was known for his kindness, and sense of humor, Bob always found joy in the simple things.

He is lovingly remembered by his devoted children, Cindy (Lyn), Sandy (Mike), Brian (Yvette) and his larger-than-life legacy continues through his grandchildren - Rebekkah (Brandon), Elizabeth, Robert III (Megan), Samantha (Stephen), Andrea (Jared), Meghan, Brandon (Heather), David (Makenzie), Alex (Kelly), Michael (Morgan), and Joshua - as well as 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, his son Robert A. Bennett, Jr., and his dear parents, William and Rhoda Bennett.

Bob's life will be honored with a visitation at Frederick Funeral Home on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories and celebrate a life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

In this time of sorrow, let us also reflect on the joyful memories and the profound impact Bob had on all of our lives. His spirit will continue to inspire us, and he will be missed deeply. Let us honor him by living life to its fullest, just as he did.
