In loving memory of Patricia "Patti" R. Ernst (nee Robinson), who was born March 17, 1938, in Hamilton, Ohio, and peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 8, 2026, at the age of 88. Patti was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Alberta Robinson.

Patti is now reunited in heaven with her husband of 50 years, the late Victor C. Ernst. She is survived by her devoted children, Chris (Meg) Ernst, Heidi (David) Jester, Vicki (Doug) Schmidt, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Allyson, Joe, Alex (Temi), Emily (Hari), Colin, Andrew (Kate), and Nick. Patti was overjoyed to become a great grandmother to Kameron. She also leaves behind her dear brother, Charles Eugene (Mary Ann) Robinson and numerous other relatives and friends.

Patti's life was characterized by her deep commitment to family, her community, and her faith. Patti was a bank teller for 17 years with Central Trust and later PNC Bank. A devout Catholic, she found peace and solace in her faith, often praying the rosary and participating and volunteering in many activities. In her leisure time, Patti found joy in gardening and was an avid card player, making lifelong friends from several bridge clubs she belonged to. Yet her greatest joy stemmed from her family. A natural nurturer, she selflessly prioritized her loved ones, caring for both her mother and her husband through their chronic illnesses and also being an active participant in the lives of her grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at St. Ann Church, located at 2900 W. Galbraith Road on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 9:30 am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. The family invites all who knew Patti to come and celebrate her extraordinary life and the love she shared with everyone around her. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati , P.O. Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263-3597, or to St. Ann Church honoring the compassion and faith Patti embodied in her life.

Patti will be remembered for her unwavering love, her spirit of generosity, and the positive impact she had on those around her. She will be dearly missed, but her legacy of kindness will live on in the lives she has touched.
