With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Onn Ly, who departed this life on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on May 15, 1958 to Laun and Chiem (nee Leng) Ly, in the rich and vibrant landscapes of Cambodia, Onn personified the spirit of her heritage throughout her life.

A mother, grandmother and sister, Onn was a beacon of love and warmth in the lives of those who knew her. She is lovingly remembered by her cherished children, Boree Ly and Sophan (Timothy) Livingston; her loving grandson, Keevon and her dear siblings, Vanna (Vannara Sim) Ly and Vanny Ly (Samsokha) Shak.  Onn's strength and kindness will also be missed dearly.

A passionate cook, Onn delighted in sharing the flavors of her Cambodian heritage, and the joy of a good meal was often accompanied by laughter and storytelling. Her love for life was matched only by her adventurous spirit; she embraced travel with open arms, eager to explore new horizons and create cherished memories along the way. But it was at home, surrounded by family and friends, that she truly thrived.

In celebration of her life, we invite all who loved Onn to join us for a visitation on Thursday (March 13) at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd., from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. providing an opportunity for friends and family to gather, share their memories, and honor the legacy of a remarkable woman.

As we reflect on Onn's life, let us carry her spirit with us-one that celebrated culture, family, and the simple pleasures of life. In our sorrow, let us also find joy in the beautiful memories we shared, and in the way she touched our lives. Onn Ly will live on in our hearts forever.
