It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nelson Chaike, who left us far too soon on Monday, January 20, 2025, just two days after celebrating his 63rd birthday. Born on January 18, 1962 to the late Roman H. "Ray" and the late Rose Marie (nee LaFollette) Chaike, Nelson was a devoted father, a loyal friend, and a larger-than-life personality who had a knack for making every moment count.

Nelson was the epitome of an awesome dad to his beloved daughter, Morgan. The bond they shared was truly special, filled with laughter, adventures, and countless memories that will forever be cherished. Whether they were cheering on their favorite college football team, OSU, or spending weekends at car racing and dirt track events, they always found joy in each other's company.

On weekends, you could find Nelson casting a line and enjoying the peacefulness of fishing or gathering family and friends around the grill as he whipped up delicious meals. "Not bad for a truck driver," he would often say with a grin, showcasing his culinary skills, which he took immense pride in.

Nelson is survived by his beloved daughter, Morgan Chaike and his devoted sisters, Debbie (late Dave) Dine and Suzanne (Donald) Richardson. He was a loving uncle to Guy (Sarah) Young, Zachary (Robin) Dine, Casey (Rhea) Dine, Megan Quatkemeyer and Catherine Chaike. Friend of Abby Knuf.  A true animal lover, Nelson shared his home with his cherished cat, Bear, as well as his beloved grandcats, Dolly and Mango. The bond he formed with his furry companions was a testament to his gentle spirit and nurturing nature. Nelson is preceded in death by his brother, Tony Chaike

Nelson's love for life and the passions he pursued will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a true friend to many and brought smiles to the faces of everyone he met.

Visitation at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd., on Friday (January 24) from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Friends and family are encouraged to share their memories, stories, and tributes, as we gather to pay our respects to a life well-lived and a spirit that will forever remain in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Animal Friends Humane Society , 1820 Princeton Rd., Hamilton, Ohio 45011.
