In deep sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Michael Martin Looby on June 7, 2025, in a tubing accident. He was a loving son, brother, fiancé, and friend. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on October 18, 1999. Michael was a proud graduate of LaSalle High School (2018) and the University of Cincinnati (2024). He was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council 10003. Currently a resident of Winchester, KY, Michael was working as a construction project engineer with Walsh Construction.

Michael's light shown through his exuberant, intelligent, and adventurous soul, inspiring everyone with whom he interacted. His enthusiastic personality and bright smile made him friends everywhere he went. He lived his life to the fullest: hiking, camping, kayaking, playing board games, and attending country concerts. Michael loved being surrounded by family and friends and would enthusiastically invite them to join him in his many adventures. Inspired by his Catholic faith, he was the first to lend a hand, whether it be volunteering at church festivals, helping with house projects, or cooking a meal for his family.

Michael is survived by his parents, Debbie and Pete Looby; siblings, Katie (Steven) Carter, Jenny (Chad) Muhlenkamp, and Steven (Samantha) Looby; fianceé, Lydia Anglin; loving uncle of Quinn, Kayla, Clare, James, and soon to be Baby Carter.

Michael will be remembered for his adventurous, loving, and inviting spirit. His family will miss his big smiles and all-encompassing hugs.

All are invited to his visitation, which will take place at Frederick Funeral Home on Friday, June 13th from 4:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m., located at 2553 Banning Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45239. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 9:00 a.m. on June 14th at St. James the Greater Church, located at 3565 Hubble Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45247.

Michael was full of life and loved the beauty of the world, to celebrate Michael we welcome the wearing of colorful clothes.
