Michael Allen Brooks, beloved husband of 29 years to Yvonne S. (nee Pope) Brooks. Devoted father of Lynn (Dan) Kern and Michael "Bammer" (Nicki Petroze) Brooks. Step-father of Eric Shane (Kim York) Oldfield, Michael Oldfield, Kelly (Tony) Russo and the late Tommy O'Brien. Loving grandpa of Evan Michael Brooks. Step-grandpa of Zach, Becca, Amanda, Melissa, Megan, Allison and Brittany (Brian Weiler). Step-greatgrandpa of Olivia and Brayden. Dear brother of Billie Mae (Chuck) Smithson. Brother-in-law of Jenny Pope, Chad (Debbie) Pope, Guy "Moose" (Joyce) Pope, the late Steve Pope and late Greg Pope. Uncle of Chuck (Mary) Smithson, Allan Pope, Jessica (Eric) Ringshauser, Zack (Bonnie) Pope, Chris (Kristina) Pope, Tony (Sara) Pope, Timmy (Ashley) Pope and Ethan Pope. Also survived by many great-nephews, great-nieces, other relatives and friends. Mike grew up in Bellevue, Kentucky. He graduated from Bellevue High School and continued his schooling and graduation from the College Conservatory of Music. He had a love for music especially his band Hi-Tension. In his younger years, he was on multiple bowling leagues and coached countless kids basketball and baseball teams. For many years, he owned and operated Cincinnati Laundry Service. Mike will be remembered for his humor, love for children, and his family. He loved hosting parties and holidays, getting everyone together for a fun time. Mike passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 23, 2021, age 71.
