Matilda Ann Rizzo
(September 28, 1918 - November 6, 2021)

Matilda A. "Tillie" Rizzo (nee Hartmann), beloved wife of the late Henry Rizzo. Devoted mother of Jim (Pat) Rizzo, Tom (Bobbie) Rizzo, late Kathy ( George) Wade, John (Kathy) Rizzo, Vince (late Donna) Rizzo, Dave (Kathy) Rizzo, Mary (Paul) Copelin, Paul (Linda) Rizzo, Theresa Brodberger, Joe (Cathy) Rizzo, Dan (Robin) Rizzo, Tim (Janet) Rizzo, Nancy (Steve) Long.

Loving grandmother to 38 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren

Daughter of the late Frank and Mathilda Hartmann. Proceeded in death by all of her seven siblings.

Matilda passed away peacefully on November 6, 2021 at the age of 103.

Matilda Hartmann was born and raised in St. Bernard, OH. After marrying the love of her life Henry Rizzo in 1940, the couple moved to Bond Hill, OH where they raised 13 children. After Henry's passing in 1978, Matilda continued to reside in the family home for a total of 76 years. Matilda was a guiding light of love, faith and a role model in teaching the importance of family. Her faith in God and the legacy she carried was truly unique and special to this world. She loved singing in her church choir and gathering with her family over the holidays as this was one of her greatest joys in life. "Thank you Lord" will forever remain a family tradition.

The family would like to thank the incredible staff at St. Margaret Hall for their compassion and loving care over the past few years for Matilda. Special thanks also to the prior care given at Matilda's home by Dottie and Lezlie.

Visitation will take place at The Church of the Resurrection at 1619 California Avenue Cincinnati, OH. on Saturday, (November 13) from 9am - 10:15am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am.
