Mary Sandra (Sandy) Baker (nee Cannon) passed away Friday, March 18, 2022. Sandy was married to the late Robert L. Baker, Jr. She leaves behind her son, Robert (Bobby) Baker and his wife Noreen, her sister Patricia Burns, brother-in-law Lawrence Grahl, and sister-in-law Jessie Baker. Sandy also leaves behind her loving nieces and nephews: John (Linda) Burns, Tim (Carrie) Burns, Cathy Burns, Patti Lysaght, Beth (Steve) Paff, Sherri (Mark) Kist, Joe (Jackie) Grahl, Robin (John) Ruehl and their extended families. Sandy is predeceased by her sister Donna (Lawrence) Grahl (nee Cannon) and her brother-in-law John T. Burns (Patricia). Sandy was born in Cincinnati to Carmela (nee Piscitelli) and Edward M. Cannon. She attended Our Lady of Angels High School but then graduated from Regina High School in 1964. Sandy briefly attended the University of Cincinnati to study accounting later working in accounting at Procter & Gamble for over 30 years and was very proud of her time there. After retirement, Sandy worked at Mill Race Banquet Center where she made many great friends. A lifelong Cincinnati resident, she loved going on riverboat cruises with her mother Carmela and attending the Tall Stacks events. Another great love for Sandy was baseball and the Reds. She always had a game on the radio and was a season ticket holder for many years. She shared her love of the Reds with her son Bobby. Sandy continued to make friends as a member of the Red Hat Society, a group of fun women adorned in stylish hats enjoying a meal! Sandy was a member of St. Ann Parish for over 50 years. She and her husband were very active there especially when Bobby attended the grade school. Visitation will be Monday, March 28, 2022 at 10 am followed by a funeral mass at 11 am at St. Ann Catholic Church, 2900 W Galbraith Road, Cincinnati.
