Mary Helen (Metz) Pierson died peacefully in her sleep on October 16, 2025, following a life filled with faith, family, and friends. She was born on May 21, 1931, to Joseph and Margaret (Bens) Metz in Cincinnati, OH, and enjoyed a 69 year marriage to the love of her life, Roger Paul Pierson.

Mary was preceded in death by Roger, her brother Jerome Metz and sister Joan (Metz) Binzer. Roger and Mary were blessed with 15 children, Roger Jr. (Susan Cook), Peggy (Kevin) Mosher, the late Danny, Bill (Patty), Cathy (Ron) Hoerst, Ann (Tom) Salzbrun, Paul (Patricia Perusset), Mark (Carole), Mary (Pete) Effler, Tim (Debra), Joy, Joan (Mike) Soller, Claire (Rick) Schneider, Pete (Dorothy Waltenbaugh) and the late Matt (Bridget), with 40 grandchildren, Andrew Mazur, Jesse CookPierson, late Peter Mosher, Jeremy Mosher, Katie Wright, Nikki Mayhew, Brian Pierson, Craig Hoerst, Karen Hoerst, Ken Hoerst, Colleen Hardy, Andrew Salzbrun, Ben Salzbrun, Zach Salzbrun, Hannah Kenney, Kawika Pierson, Simone Pierson, late Hernan Rebagliati, Victoria Rebagliati, Martin Rebagliati, Rebecca Hobing, Chrissy Pierson, Luke Effler, Sam Effler, Mollie Effler, LeeAnn Pierson, Jessie Durham, Emma Cunningham, Grace Cunningham, Jeff Soller, Brian Soller, Mary Jo Barnes, Danny Schneider, Mark Schneider Carrillo, Matt Schneider, Lily Pierson, Truman Pierson, Eddie Pierson, Will Pierson and Charlie Pierson and 42 great grandchildren, Adah Mosher, Eamon Mosher, CeCe Vimtrup, Peter Wright, Elliott Wright, Jude Wright, Louie Mayhew, Malcolm Mayhew, Joshua Hoerst, Samantha Hoerst, Nico Rosenblatt Hoerst, Simon Rosenblatt Hoerst, Myles Rosenblatt Hoerst, Rowan Hardy, Kennedy Hardy, Willa Hardy, Jett Salzbrun, Noa Salzbrun, Calvin Salzbrun, Sterling Salzbrun, Jonah Salzbrun, Georgia Salzbrun, Sylvia Salzbrun, Daisy Kenney, Sally Kenney, Maria Hobing, Rose Hobing, Abigail Hobing, Nayda Olding, Arthur Effler, Gloria Effler, Bryson Durham, Maisyn Durham, Inifinity Cunningham, Margaret Soller, Frances Soller, Jillian Soller, Owen Soller, Isaac Soller, Addison Soller, Nora Barnes and Liam Schneider.

Mary is remembered for her warm smile, open heart, and empathy for others. She shared her blessings generously to support those in need her entire life. Mary served as an active volunteer in her church community, especially the Cursillo Movement, and was employed by Cincinnati Bell, Procter & Gamble, and The Good Shepherd bookstore. Visitation is planned for Monday, October 20, 4-7 pm at Fredericks Funeral home. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 21, at 10:30 am at St. Ignatius Catholic Church.
