It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Ann (nee Burgdorf) Parr on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the age of 85. Mary Ann was born on November 24, 1938, to her loving parents the late Jack and Ella Mae (nee Elliott) Burgdorf. Beloved wife of 54 years to the late Thomas Lee Parr. Devoted mother of Michelle (Greg Stine) Lienemann, Michael (Suzanne) Parr, Matthew L. Parr and Missy (Matt) Kolbinsky. Loving grandmother of Amanda (Jason), Kristin (William) Shannon (Douglas), Jack, Nick, Stephanie, Matt, Brendan, Kailey and Nicholas. Great grandmother of Audrina, Tray, Ah'niyah, Amelia, Ariel, Quincy and Ethan. Dear sister of Jack Burgdorf, late Thomas Burgdorf and Cathy Broerman. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Mary Ann's life was filled with joy and laughter, as she found happiness in simple pleasures like playing bridge, swimming, and spending time with friends. Her warmth and kindness endeared her to all who knew her, making her a beloved member of her community.

In honor of Mary Ann's life, a Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Dry Ridge on Thursday (July 11) at 11:00 am. Prior to the Mass, a memorial gathering will take place at the church at 10:00 am, where friends and family will come together to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

As we gather to say our final goodbyes, let us remember Mary Ann with fondness and gratitude for the light she brought into our lives.
