Obituary

In Loving memory of Mary Lynn Quattrone who was born in Steubenville, Ohio on March 20, 1944 and was the cherished daughter of the late Joseph & Lula (nee Smith) Troesch. Mary Lynn passed away peacefully on October 2, 2026 at the age of 82 surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and her bright spirit and unwavering love will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Mary Lynn is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of nearly 60 years, Deacon John Quattrone. Together, they created a life rich in faith and love, surrounding themselves with family and friends, and fostering enduring connections in every community they called home. She was the devoted mother of Frank Quattrone, the late John (Linda) Quattrone, and Lori (Dave) Taylor. She took immense joy in being a grandmother, affectionately remembered by Katy, Brooklynn, Ashlynn (Carlo), Veronica (Trevor), Alex (Serena), Cody, and Roxy (Stephen), and a great-grandmother to Theodore, Colton, Sebastian, Kaine, and Luca, as well as her late great-grandchild, Sage. Mary Lynn was a dear sister to the late Marjorie (Tony) Lucas and late Joseph P. Troesch and held strong bonds with her many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family, and her memory will live on through stories filled with love and laughter.

A proud graduate of Catholic Central High School, Mary Lynn excelled academically achieving the highest GPA and was honored to be voted May Queen during her senior year. She furthered her education at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, obtaining a degree in Education. Beginning her teaching career in 1965, she devoted over 30 years to shaping young minds at Assumption in Mt. Healthy. Even after retirement, her passion for education continued as she tutored and substituted at both Assumption and Our Lady of Grace.

Mary Lynn's faith played a significant role in her life; a devoted Catholic, she actively participated in her church community, as she was a member of the Legion of Mary prayer group where she enjoyed weekly lunch and rosary gatherings. She fostered meaningful friendships at St. Ann's and her optimistic outlook on life and deep connection to her faith inspired those around her.

Throughout her life, Mary Lynn nurtured deep bonds and friendships, moving gracefully from Akron to Youngstown and finally settling in Cincinnati. Her family remained her greatest passion; she loved spending weekends in Steubenville, traveling with loved ones, and sharing delightful moments that created lasting memories. From shopping trips to Gatlinburg with her sister to vacations in Hawaii, Alaska, and Florida, she cherished every opportunity to weave family experiences together. She held a special affinity for Marco Island, enjoying the Eagles Nest with her husband and instilling this beloved tradition in her children and grandchildren. Mary Lynn's warmth extended to all, through her love of cookies and ice cream, and by regularly hosting family gatherings that build a lifetime of happy memories.

In honor of Mary Lynn's remarkable life and the loving legacy she leaves behind, friends and family will gather for a visitation at St. Ann Church, located at 2900 W Galbraith Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45239, on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 10:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:30 PM. We invite everyone to come together for this time of prayer and reflection, to celebrate Mary Lynn's beautiful journey through life, sharing stories, laughter, and memories that honor her strong spirit. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Pregnancy Center West, 2859 Boudinot Ave Ste 320, Cincinnati, OH 45238.

Mary Lynn Quattrone will be dearly missed, but her love and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
