On a beautiful afternoon, Mark David Gallo went home to the Lord, reunited with his beloved God in heaven.

Mark was born May 7, 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Joseph and Marian (Egbers) Gallo.

He met the love of his life, Gail L. Scray, in Newport, Rhode Island, while stationed there during his service in the United States Navy. They were married on December 29, 1972 in De Pere, Wisconsin. Soon after, they returned to Cincinnati, where they built a life together raised their family, and continued to call home.

Mark was a proud graduate of Oak Hills High School. In 1969 he was drafted, and upon the advice of his uncle he joined the Navy. He was stationed at the Naval Base in Newport, Rhode Island, and served aboard the USS Grand Canyon, a Navy tender that traveled across the world. He Held the rank of Electrician's Mate Third Class and, after four years of dedicated service, was honorably discharged in 1972.

Following his military service, Mark earned his degree in Electrical Mechanical Engineering from Cincinnati State Technical College in 1974. In 1980, he founded his own business, Gallo Electric, where he built a reputation for hard work and skill. He later obtained his Master Electrician's license in the State of Kentucky. His son Jeremy proudly carries on the family business today.

Beyond his profession Mark had a deep love for music. Alongside his friends, he followed his passion by playing in rock bands throughout Cincinnati. His mother Marian - passionate about playing piano and signing - ofter told him, "Mark you have a God given voice." She was so proud of him serving in The Navy and playing music and following his dream.

Mark is survived by his loving wife Gail L. Gallo; his sons, Jeremy (special friend Rebecca) and Andrew; and his cherished granddaughter, Olivia Grace.  He is also survived by his sisters, Judy Stevens and Leesa Smith, his brother Jerry (Terry Gallo) and many nieces and nephews from Cincinnati- Nashville- and Green Bay, WI.  He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Marian (Egbers) Gallo, and his brother-in-law Roger Stevens.

Mass of Christian Burial on Friday (May 15) at 10:00 AM at St. Bernard's Church, 7130 Harrison Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45247. Donations maybe made to St.Bernard's Church and School.
