It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marilyn H. Lyon, Lynn, born on July 22, 1941, in Cleves, OH, who passed away peacefully at the age of 82 surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 4, 2024. Lynn was a cherished member of the community and a beloved wife, mother, and sister. She was a devoted wife of 65 years to her late husband Lawrence Lyon Jr. She was a proud mother to Michael (Sue) Lyon, Cynthia Lyon, Melissa (Terry) King and Lawrence "Larry" Lyon III, and a loving grandmother to many adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a cherished daughter of the late Melvin and the late Mary Berlier. She will be remembered for her compassion, love, and service to others as she had a profound impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Throughout her life, Marilyn was guided by her faith and her unwavering commitment to serving others. She found great joy in volunteering for various organizations such as Meals-on-Wheels, the Little Sisters of the Poor's Residents Store, and was actively involved with St. Ann's Church and the Association of Jeanne Jugan. Marilyn had a natural gift for nurturing, whether it be people, pets, or plants, and she dedicated countless hours hand-making rosaries and spreading love and kindness to all of those around her.

Marilyn's love for life was evident in her active nature and her deep connection with her siblings, Jackie, Paula, and Nancy. Together, they shared many cherished moments filled with laughter, card games, and endless love. Marilyn instilled in her children the values of hard work, compassion, and the importance of treasuring family and friends, leaving an enduring legacy of love and kindness.

Visitation for Marilyn will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd. on Thursday (July 18) from 5pm-7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann Church on Friday (July 19) at 10am. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Marilyn's remarkable life and the enduring impact she has left on all who knew her. Let us remember Marilyn for her boundless love, steadfast faith, and commitment to serving God and others. Though she may be physically gone, Marilyn's beautiful spirit will continue to resonate within the hearts of all whose lives she touched.
