Lynn E. Laake was born on May 27, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, at the age of 74. She was the cherished daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Kuchenbuch and a radiant presence in the lives of all who knew her. Surrounded by her beloved family, Lynn departed this world leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and treasured memories.

Lynn is now reunited with her late husband, Michael Laake, with whom she shared 47 wonderful years of love and partnership. Together, they built a nurturing home for their children: Tricia (Matt) Sarvak, Marc (Karen) Laake, Becky (Scott) Questa, Nathan (Becki) Laake, Craig (Natalie) Laake, and their late son, Joey Laake. As a proud grandmother, she held a special place in her heart for each of her grandchildren: Sam, Charli, Sean, Connor, Emma, Marieme, Quinten, Luke, Tessa, Gwendolyn, Lincoln, and Jo. She also leaves behind fond memories shared with her siblings: the late Judy Kruetzkamp, Dan Kuchenbuch, Jay Kuchenbuch, and Karen Carrelli. Lynn will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family and friends, and her memory will live on through stories filled with love and laughter.

A devout Catholic, Lynn found peace and purpose in her faith. For many years she served her church community as a devoted parish secretary at St. Monica-St. George Church. For more than thirty years, she and her husband Mike owned and operated Printworks, a business they ran side by side. Together they were also involved with the Ulster American Project, through which they opened their home to Protestant and Catholic children from Ireland to build a of cultural understanding. It was through this program that they met Andy Patton, a dear friend who became family.

Lynn treasured the simple joys of life. She especially loved family camping trips to Fox Run in Brookville, Indiana, where laughter echoed around the campfire. She enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching, diving into the pages of her favorite books, and playing Yahtzee and Scrabble. She was a devoted fan of the Cincinnati Reds and found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren.

A celebration of Lynn's life will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at St. John Neumann Church, 12191 Mill Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45240. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, with a Mass of celebration to follow at 6:30 PM. Burial will follow Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Gate of heaven cemetery at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Cincinnati (P.O. Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263-3597) or the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund (100 Main St, Cincinnati, OH 45202).

Though we mourn the loss of Lynn's generous spirit and loving heart, we find comfort in the memories we created together. Her legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her, and she will remain forever in our hearts.
