In loving memory of Lillian T. Koppmeier, a cherished soul who graced our lives with warmth and kindness. Born on April 29, 1934, in Taylors Creek, Ohio, Lillian departed peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2025, at the age of 90 surrounded by her loving family. Known for her selflessness, Lillian's light shone brightly in the lives she touched.

Lillian was a devoted wife, sharing 72 beautiful years with her beloved husband, Kenneth Koppmeier. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. She was a nurturing mother to her children: Kim (Ray) Urena, Kay (the late Jack) Vaught, Kevin Koppmeier, and Keith Koppmeier. Lillian found joy in her role as a grandmother, bringing happiness to Christopher and Benjamin (Arianne) Urena, and great-grandmother to Finn and Isabelle. She also held a special place in her heart for her cousin-in-law, Nancy Cottengim. Lillian was preceded in death by her four dear brothers and three sisters, who surely welcomed her with open arms. Her family was her pride and joy, and she took great delight in creating cherished memories with them.

Lillian married Kenneth in 1952, where her travels across the United States during his service in the Navy were filled with adventure and exploration of national parks, including memorable trips to Alaska where they enjoyed salmon fishing together. The love they shared was truly inspirational to all who knew them. Lillian took immense pride in caring for her family and maintaining a warm, tidy home. Her adventurous spirit sparked an enthusiasm for travel, especially when it meant visiting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as she enjoyed creating memories with them on special outings. A devout Catholic, Lillian found solace in her faith, closely following the teachings of Mary, Mother of God. She treasured her quiet moments spent reading the Bible, finding joy in hiking amidst nature, and sharing her love of animals with her beloved pets, Stella and Isabelle. Sitting on the deck and watching the cardinals in her yard always brought her a sense of peace and connection to the beauty of life.

In honor of Lillian's remarkable life, a visitation will be held at St. Ann Church on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 9:30 AM until  Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM, where we will celebrate the love and legacy she leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Ann's Joy Ministry , a cause that reflects the compassion and kindness that Lillian embodied throughout her life.

As we gather to celebrate Lillian's remarkable life, we will carry her spirit in our hearts, cherishing the countless memories she created and the love she so freely gave.
