In loving memory of Laurence Edward Tucker, affectionately known as "Larry" who was born on February 7, 1936, in Casey County, Kentucky, and peacefully passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 90. Larry was the cherished son of the late William and Helen Tucker. Larry’s legacy of love and kindness continues to resonate within the hearts of all who knew him. His quick wit and perfectionist spirit brought joy and laughter to countless moments shared with family and friends.

Larry is now reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, the late Vera A. (nee Rasfeld) Tucker. Together, they crafted a beautiful life filled with warmth, love, and cherished memories. He was a loving father of Barbara (Norb) Mette, Jim (Lynn) Tucker and Gary (Alana) Tucker. Larry was a proud grandfather of Mark (Andrea) Mette, Tony (Beth) Mette, David (Nikki) Mette, Tom (Rachel) Mette, Steve (Hannah) Mette, the late Laura Mette, Julie (Thomas) Tice, Ryan (Paige) Tucker, Nicole (Steven) King and Adam (Cassie) Ploof, and Jackson Tucker. He will also be greatly missed by his cherished great-grandchildren Owen, Elise, Gavin, Katelyn, Isaac, Dominic, Michaela, Adeline, and Nora Mette, McKenzie and Riley Tice, Kolby, Zander and Lillie Tucker. Additionally, he was a beloved half-brother to Clem Tucker. Larry will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his family, and his memory will live on through stories filled with love and laughter.

Professionally, Larry took great pride in his work as a steel cutter at Central Steel and Wire for over 42 years, where he perfected his craft with dedication and skill. Outside of work, he was known for his craftsmanship, spending countless hours in his woodshops creating treasured projects that will be remembered by family and friends alike. Larry also had a lifelong passion for cars, collecting over 500 model cars and wholeheartedly enjoying visits to car shows where he reveled in the beauty of classic vehicles. His adventurous spirit led him to visit 49 of the 50 states, gathering stories and experiences that he warmly shared with those fortunate enough to hear them. Most importantly, Larry loved spending time with his family, and the memories created together will forever be cherished.

To honor Larry’s compassionate spirit, funeral services will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 2553 Banning Road, Cincinnati, OH 45239. A visitation will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral service, which will begin at 11:00 AM. We invite all who knew Larry to come together in remembrance and reflection, celebrating a life well-lived and a spirit that will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Washington, DC 20090-6011 in honor of Larry’s generous spirit and enduring love for family.
