In loving memory of Kathryn Ann Schlarmann, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, she was born on April 12, 1939, in Clovis, NM, to the late Frank and Emma Hermes and peacefully passed away on October 8, 2024, at the age of 85, surrounded by her cherished family, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be treasured.

Kathryn will always be remembered for her unwavering love and care. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Paul Schlarmann, a nurturing mother to Lisa (Martin) Manning, Paul J. Schlarmann "Dude", Laura (Keith) Alexander, and Linda (Joe) Sabato. A doting grandmother to Nick (Bethany) Sabato, Allison Manning, Ben (Alli) Alexander, Maria Sabato, Tess (Garret) Webb, Andrew Manning, Amy Manning, Tony Sabato, Brooke Alexander and Alyssa Henchen and a loving great-grandmother to Vinny Sabato, Tino Sabato, Aiden Webb and Sophia Webb. She was also a beloved sister to Marilyn Morgan, Fran Fulmer, Tony Hermes, Late Frank Hermes, late Larry Hermes, and late Mick Hermes. Kathryn will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family, and her memory will live on through stories filled with love and laughter.

Family always held a special place in Kathryn's heart; she treasured moments spent with loved ones over dinners and cherished times cooking for them. Her culinary talents shone brightly as she delighted in experimenting with new recipes to share with her family, finding joy in cooking and sharing meals with them. In her moments of relaxation, she found peace in the pages of a good book or watching her favorite shows, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, and relishing the simple moments in life.

A visitation to honor Kathryn's  life will take place at Frederick Funeral Home on Monday, October 14, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. where friends and family may pay their respects. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Ignatius Church on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Matthew 25 Ministries , 11083 Kenwood Road, Blue Ash, OH 45242 or Red Cross , PO Box 37839 Boone, IA 50037 for Hurricane relief.

Kathryn will forever be remembered for her kind and compassionate spirit, her love for family, and her zest for life. May she rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved and cherished by all who were privileged to know her.
