With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce that Kaila Renee' Moellman, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family after fighting a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the tender age of 27. Born on May 28, 1998, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kaila was a beacon of strength, kindness, and laughter whose spirit will forever illuminate the hearts of those she touched.

Kaila, a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Jordan Moellman, radiated warmth and compassion. She was the treasured daughter of Jim (Jamie) Knotts and Jamie Kullgren, who nurtured her adventurous spirit and deep love for family. As the loving sister of Gavin and Emma Kullgren, and step-sister to Audrey Knotts and John Hollon, her laughter and gentle heart will echo in their memories forever. Kaila is survived by her loving grandparents, Betty and Henry Ratterman and James and Jennifer Knotts. Caring niece of Farrah Kullgren. She was a beloved daughter-in-law to Kim and the late Joe Moellman, and a dear sister-in-law to Josh Moellman, all of whom will carry her light forward.

Kaila's soul blossomed in the pages of her favorite books and the aisles of local bookstores. A connoisseur of cooking shows and a lover of animals, she found pure joy in the simplest moments. Her heart danced when spending time with her cherished baby cousins, Avery, Houston, and Ryleigh, creating memories that will cradle their hearts forever. A gifted photographer, she viewed the world through a lens of awe, preserving moments of beauty and love. Her delightful collection of mini statues and plush octopuses reflected her whimsical nature, and her two beloved cats, Acorn and June, were a testament to her nurturing spirit.

A proud graduate with a Bachelor's Degree, Kaila dedicated her talents and compassion to her role as a Lab Technician at Myriad Genetics, where she exhibited unwavering commitment and skill. Her colleagues respected her not only for her professionalism but also for the warmth she brought into every interaction, leaving an indelible mark in the lives of all who had the privilege of working alongside her.

Kaila's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with laughter, love, and a profound appreciation for the world around her. We celebrate her spirit-an enduring light that will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who knew her.

In memory of Kaila, visitation will be held on Friday (August 15) from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to join in a celebration of her life, sharing stories, laughter, and the warmth she so freely gave. Per Kaila's beautiful wish, we ask that those attending to wear casual, vibrant colors or floral prints, a tribute to her love for life and the joy she brought to every moment. Let us celebrate her spirit in hues that reflect the brightness of her heart.
