Judith "Judy" (Klensch) Burger, age 76, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving husband and children.

Judy is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 56 years, Rick, and her children: Jodi (Ed) Baier, Katie (Brian) Pohlmeyer, Kristi VanVranken, and Michael (Megan) Burger. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Nathan, Alex and Lucy Baier, Caleb, Rubi, Simon and Gwen Pohlmeyer, Eli, Reagan, and Michael VanVranken who brought her great joy.

Judy was born on April 29, 1950, to the late Angela (Schulte) and Frank Klensch. She was one of a close-knit family and was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Elliott. She is survived by her siblings Paul (Vicky) Klensch, Jim (Deb) Klensch, Sue (Bill) Hines, and Randy (Julie) Klensch. Sister in law of Mary Anne (Don) Veite and Fr. Mark Burger, preceded in death by Dan (Mary) Burger and Dave (Lois) Burger. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Judy had a love for the sunshine and the beach, finding peace and happiness in the warmth and time spent near the water. More than anything, she treasured time with her family, creating lasting memories filled with laughter, love, and togetherness. She was devoted to Jesus, His Church and the Sacraments.

In honor of Judy's life and legacy, visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 2553 Banning Rd., on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Following the visitation, we will celebrate Judith's life with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church, 3565 Hubble Rd., commencing at 11:00 a.m. These services will provide a space for all who loved her to gather, share memories, and reflect on the immense impact she had on our lives.

In lieu of flowers, Judy's family encourages memorial contributions to be made to the Sisters of St. Francis of Oldenburg at 22143 Main St., Oldenburg, IN 47036, an organization that reflects Judith's lifelong commitment to service and compassion.

Judy will be remembered for her kind heart, her handmade Christmas ornaments, homemade decorative cakes, her impressive seamstress skills and the deep love she held for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on in all who knew her.
