In loving memory of Joseph A. Sabato, who was born on July 15, 1963, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was the cherished son of Etelvino Sabato and Sandra Vaughn. Joseph passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, at the age of 62 and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother whose warmth and humor touched the hearts of many.

Joey was the devoted husband of Linda M. Sabato, nee Schlarmann, with whom he shared 37 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a loving home filled with laughter, joy, and countless treasured memories. He leaves behind his loving children, Nicholas (Bethany), Maria, and Anthony Sabato, and was a proud and adoring grandfather to his grandsons, Vinny and Tino. He is also survived by his dear siblings, Christine (Mark) Eichelbrenner, Antonietta (Mike) Hellweg, and Ilvia Sabato, along with several beloved in-laws, including Lisa (Martin) Manning, Paul Schlarmann, and Laura (Keith) Alexander. He was a loving uncle to Emily Eichelbrenner, Erin Eichelbrenner, Tommy Kennedy, Arianna Kennedy, Allison Manning, Ben (Alli) Alexander, Tess (Garrett) Webb, Andrew Manning, Amy Manning, Brooke Alexander, and Alyssa Henchen, as well as being a proud great uncle to Emia, Lucas, Aiden, Sophia, and AJ. Joey's spirit will forever reside in the hearts of his family, and his memory will live on through stories and joyful moments shared by his loved ones.

Joey found joy in the simplicity of life, as he cherished his time in the great outdoor boating, fishing, and nurturing his garden brought him peace and happiness. He had a passion for cooking and was known for his delightful gatherings, where friends became family. His infectious spirit and ability to connect with others ensured that no one ever felt like a stranger in his presence. Most importantly, he loved his family deeply, always ready to support his grandchildren and attend to their needs, creating irreplaceable memories together.

In remembrance of Joey's remarkable life, a visitation will take place at Frederick Funeral Home, 25536 Banning Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45239 on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ignatius Church, 5222 North Bend Road Cincinnati, OH 45247 on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 10:30 AM. We invite all who knew and loved Joey to come together, share their favorite memories, and reflect on the profound impact he made on each of our lives. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation Gift Processing Center (P.O. Box 1858, Merrifield, VA 22116) and Soldier Angels (1355 Central Pkwy S #700, San Antonio, TX 78232), two organizations that reflect Joey's generous spirit and commitment to giving back.
