It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph R. Karaus, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left this world on February 2, 2025, at the age of 80. Joe was a dedicated husband to his cherished wife, Pam (nee Meyer) Karaus, with whom he shared an extraordinary 61 years of love and partnership.

Joe's legacy will live on through his adoring children: Beth (Bob) Gehres, Joey Karaus, Amy (James) Pruitt, and Chris (Jenny) Karaus, as well as his six beloved grandchildren, Donald, Blake, Emily, Adam, Stefan, and Devan, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride. Preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Karaus, Joe embraced life with unwavering enthusiasm. He had a deep passion for football, enjoyed camping, dancing and loved exploring the beauty of state parks. Joe found joy in helping others, often lending his skilled hands to those in need. His spirit of service extended to his active involvement at St. James Church - White Oak. Member of Goodtimers AC, RCIA, Cursillo, and Christ Renews His Parish.

There will be a visitation on Monday, February 10 at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd. from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass at St. James Church in White Oak- 3565 Hubble Road at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Cincinnati , 4310 Cooper Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45242, to honor Joe's compassionate spirit.
