With heavy hearts and fond memories, we announce the passing of Joseph F. Lippolis, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Joe was born on May 15, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Anthony and late Margaret (nee Sansone) Lippolis and left this world on August 9, 2026. He was a vibrant soul, known for his warmth, creativity, and love for his family.

Joe's journey through life was as colorful and dynamic as the music he loved. A proud graduate of Elder High School in 1970, he went on to carve out a successful career in construction, but his true passions echoed in the melodies he played. Joe played the guitar, bass, and harmonica in various bands over the years, including as a cherished member of the worship band at Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Music was not merely an interest for Joe; it was a means to connect with others, to spread joy, and to express his profound love for life. He had an undeniable passion for antiquing and collecting memorabilia, always on the lookout for the next hidden treasure.

As a devoted father, he took immense joy in his sons: Joel (Tracy), Jason (Lisa), Jacob (Bri), Joseph, and Johnny. Joe's greatest pride, however, shone through in his role as a grandfather to Joel Jr., Sophia, Larry, Layci, Aubri, Isaac, Liam, Rahzlyn, and Casey, with another grandchild on the way. His legacy will live on in their laughter and in the stories they share. Joe was a beloved brother to Mike (Sharon), Theresa, Anthony (Ruthie), and Maria, who will carry forward his spirit and love.

In celebration of Joe's life, family and friends will gather for a memorial at Emmanuel United Methodist Church on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:30 AM. It will be a time to share stories, laughter, and perhaps a few tears, as we remember a man who brought joy to so many.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Emmanuel United Methodist Church, located at 4312 Amelia-Olive Branch Rd, Batavia, OH 45103-a place where Joe shared his heart and his music.

As we say goodbye, let us remember Joe with the joy he brought into our lives, the music that filled our hearts, and the love that knitted our families together. His spirit will resonate in every note, and his memory will be cherished forever.
