John Frank Burwinkel, beloved husband of 65 years to Norma Jean (nee Roberts) Burwinkel. Devoted father of John (Betty) Burwinkel, William (late Vickie) Burwinkel, Jo Ann (Jerome) Brausch and the late Louis "Louie" Burwinkel. Loving Grandfather of John (Angie) Burwinkel, Carrie (Mike) Scheltema, Billy (Abby) Burwinkel, Matthew (Lauren) Brausch, Amy (Jon) Tieman, Michelle (Blake) Hill, Keith Burwinkel, Ben (Andrea) Burwinkel, Christopher (Kristin) Brausch and Nicholas Brausch. Great grandfather of Ava, Miranda, Brendan, Caroline, Nolan, Margaret, Maria, Louis and Amelia. John peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the age of 86. John Burwinkel was a man dedicated to faith, family, and farming. Known for his work ethic and big-hearted nature,  "Big John's" physical strength was seemingly only surpassed by that of his character.  John was a devoted husband to Norma for 65 years. Up to his very last days, John continued to tell Norma how much he loved her and how beautiful he thought she was.  They shared their lives in good times, raising four children, having ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and bad times, dealing with the lifelong illness and eventual loss of their youngest son, Louis.  Through it all, John maintained his unwavering Catholic faith. Visitation at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 5361 Dry Ridge Rd. (Colerain Twp.) on Thursday (October 14) from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.
