In loving memory of Joan Braun, who was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, we gather to reflect on a life overflowing with love and warmth. Born on May 16, 1939, in St. Louis, MO. Joan was the cherished daughter of the late Robert and Eunice Engelman. Joan peacefully passed away on January 30, 2026, at the age of 86, surrounded by the love of her family. She will be remembered as a bright light in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Joan held her family close to her heart as a beloved mother, nurturing her children Tony (Patty) Trotta, Debbie (Tom) Kent, and David Trotta with unwavering devotion. Joan's love extended through the generations, as she delighted in the joyful moments spent with her grandchildren: Frank (Suzanne) Trotta, Mitchell (Danielle) Trotta, Thomas (Sintelle) Kent, Samantha (Johnny) Schober, Cole (Hannah) Trotta, Luke Trotta, Cecelia Trotta, and Melissa Colina. As a proud great grandmother, she found immense joy in the lives of Anthony, Dominic, Cameron, Madison, Ellie, Brooklyn, Elle, Isla, Leeann, Evelyn, and Maggie. Joan is also survived by her dear brother, Donald (Carol) Engelman, who will hold her memory close. Joan's family will forever hold her in their hearts, drawing comfort from the countless stories filled with laughter and love that are now treasured memories. Joan treasured the simple pleasures in life. She found joy in gardening, tirelessly ensuring that her flowers bloomed with beauty, reflecting the love she brought into her family's lives. An active spirit, she engaged in tennis and golf, and loved her workouts at the gym. She cherished her devoted pets and coffee dates with friends, savoring the moments spent in good company. To honor Joan's remarkable life and the love she shared, a celebration of her life will take place at the Knights of Columbus, located at 3144 Blue Rock Road, Cincinnati, OH 45239 on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 12pm- 5pm. Friends and family are invited to gather to reflect on the love and light Joan brought into their lives, as they share stories and celebrate the vibrant spirit she embodied.
