Joan Margaret (nee Moelchert) Bach, of Fairfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2024, at the age of 77. She was born on February 10, 1947, in Huntington, West Virginia, to William and Margaret (nee Fitzgibbons) Moelchert. Joan graduated from Mercy High School and subsequently married her sweetheart Tom at the age of 19. After her children were grown, she worked as a contractor at Procter & Gamble, where she made some of her most treasured friends.

Joan's generous spirit and warm personality will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was happiest when tending to her flowers, traveling, exploring her ancestral story (she visited Germany twice) and spending time with family and friends. She loved holidays, especially Christmas. However, Joan found the most joy when spending time with her cherished grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years Tom Bach; Children Missy (Brian) Trotter and Tom (Michelle) Bach; Grandchildren Chelsea Trotter, Andrew (Abbie) Trotter, William (Hannah) Bach and Austin Trotter; Sister Nancy (Rick) Berling; Sister-in-law Phyllis (the late Kuehn) Frederick; Brother-in-law Larry (Kay) Bach; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Granddaughter Hannah Trotter; Sister Susan (the late Ed) Kuhlman; Brother Alan Moelchert; and Brother-in-law Dan (the late Karen) Bach.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Sacred Heart Church, 400 Nilles Road, Fairfield, Ohio 45014, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.
