Janice Marie Maratta

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Janice Marie Maratta, age 67, of Cleves, Ohio.

Janice left this world on January 25, 2026. She is survived by her devoted husband, Greg Maratta, and her cherished mother, Carole (nee Peter) Behne. Janice's memory will also be lovingly carried on by her siblings, Michael Jansen and Charlene (Tom) Gripshover, as well as her caring sisters-in-law, Rita (Jeff) Little and Donna (Tim) Fox and her brother-in-law Tim Behne. She was a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews: Alex (Sarah) Behne, Jacob (Samantha) Behne, Jane (Lars) McEntyre, Sarah Gripshover, Emily Gripshover, Heather (Jim) Loftus, Kevin Fox, Emily Fox, Sydnie Little, Hunter Little, and many great nieces and nephews.

Janice was preceded in death by her father, Charles Jansen, her sister Patricia Behne, and her great niece, Amelia Behne.

A devoted banker, Janice retired after 25 years of service at Northside Bank, where she enjoyed building strong connections with her customers and colleagues alike. Her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Alongside Greg, she cherished their yearly vacations in Gatlinburg and Berlin, Ohio, creating countless treasured memories together.

Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Janice's life on Monday (Feb. 2) at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd., from 9am-10:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St.James Church (White Oak), 3565 Hubble Rd., at 11:00 AM, followed by her burial at St. James Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Janice's memory, honoring her spirit and the love she shared with others.
