In loving memory of James Walter Rieman, who was born on May 6, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and peacefully passed away on June 7, 2026, at the age of 88. James was a compassionate soul, known for his kind heart and humor, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

James was the beloved husband of Claire Rieman for nearly 65 wonderful years. Together, they built a nurturing home filled with love for their family. James was the loving father of Pamela (Tom) Leidenbor and the late Jeff Rieman. As a proud grandfather, James delighted in the lives of his grandchildren, Ryan (Emma) and Kristie (Travis), and celebrated the joy of being a great-grandfather to Lukas, Knox, and Jase. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Jacob and Florence Rieman, as well as his siblings. James will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his family, and his memory will live on through stories filled with love and laughter.

A passionate fisherman and hunter, James found joy in the great outdoors. After retiring from his fulfilling career as a truck driver, he and Claire embraced a life of adventure, traveling together in their mobile home to all 50 states, including Canada. The breathtaking beauty of the mountains, particularly Colorado captivated him, providing cherished moments that deepened their bond and created memories that will be treasured forever.

In honor of James, a memorial visitation will be held at St. Ann Church, located at 2900 W Galbraith Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45239. This gathering will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, starting at 9:30 AM, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. We invite all who knew and loved him to come together, share their favorite stories, and reflect on the lasting impact he made in our lives.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Queen City Hospice , 4605 Duke Drive, Suite 220 Mason, OH 45040.

As we reflect on James's life, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit will live on through the cherished memories he leaves behind. He will always hold a special place in the hearts of his family, inspiring them to share love and joy in their own lives, just as he did.
