With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James Bernard O'Connor Jr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Jim, as he was affectionately known, left this world on Sunday, May 25, 2025, but his spirit and warmth will remain with us all.

Jim was the beloved husband of 36 years to Rhonda K. (nee Douglas) O'Connor. Together, they crafted a life filled with laughter, love, and unwavering support. He was a devoted father to Jimmy B. O'Connor III, Rhonda Adams, Tina Wieser, and Jody (Charles) Gutknecht, and a loving grandfather to Devin, Jade, Damon, Brooke, Ashley, Wesley, Macey, Caleb, Harlie, Joseph, and Grace. He also had the joy of being a great grandpa to 11 great-grandchildren, each of whom will carry his legacy forward.

Born on January 17, 1953 to the late Pauline J. (nee Barkhau) and the late James B. O'Connor Sr. and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jim found joy in the simple things. In his younger years, he reveled in the freedom of riding his motorcycle, often found tinkering away on it in the garage. He embraced hobbies that fed his soul, from building model remote control airplanes to cultivating a beautiful garden that reflected his love for nature. His passion extended to his cherished collection of coins and his playful dream of hitting the jackpot each time he played the lottery.

Jim was a quiet and laid-back family man, often found in the company of his two loyal black labs, Bella and Sammy. He made every effort to support his children and grandchildren in their passions, attending events, cheering them on, and reveling in their successes. His gentle spirit and loving nature made a lasting imprint on all who knew him.

A funeral service celebrating Jim's remarkable life will take place on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 12:30 PM at Frederick Funeral Home. Friends and family will gather for a visitation beginning at 11:00 AM, where stories and memories will be shared in reverence of the man who brought so much joy into our lives.
