With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James Mechley Ehrhart, who departed this life on March 31, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on December 13, 1960 to the late Harold J. and late Geraldine "Gerry (nee Mechley) Ehrhart, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jim, as he was fondly known, spent his later years nestled in the warmth of Tarpon Springs, Florida.

A devoted father, Jim is survived by his beloved children, Alicia Dehond, Jenna Ehrhart and Harold James Ehrhart, whose bright spirit remains a testament to his loving nature. Loving pahpaw of Sierra King, Maria Grolmes, Brionna Coleman, Ashton Dehond and Adrianna Ehrhart. Great pahpaw of Kymari and Sayora. Special partner of Lisa Losekamp. Dear brother of Barbara (Rick) Kauffman, Jennifer (Mike) Stuart, Anne (Arnold) Rader, Jeremy Ehrhart and the late Vincent Ehrhart.

Throughout his life, Jim was a remarkable craftsman, using his hands to bring joy to those around him. He had a passion for building vintage model airplanes and cars, showcasing a dedication and creativity that inspired all who had the pleasure to witness his work. Whether in his garage or out in the freshness of the outdoors, Jim was happiest when he was creating something beautiful.

Jim was more than just a skilled craftsman; he was a kind-hearted soul who approached each day with an adventurous spirit and a warm smile. His love for nature and the great outdoors was evident in everything he did. To know Jim was to appreciate the simple pleasures of life-a framed photo of a well-crafted model, a shared laugh over a sunset, or the quiet serenity found while surrounded by nature's beauty.

Cremation will take place, with services to celebrate Jim's life and legacy planned for later, where family and friends will gather to share stories and cherish memories that embody his spirit.
