Gloria J. (nee Spinelli) Wood, beloved wife of the late Douglas R. Wood. Devoted mother of Melissa (Bradley) Johnson, Michael Wood, Valerie (Josh) Hiner and Jarrod Wood. Loving grandmother of Robert, Erin, Trevor, Joshua (Emma), Kylie, Kiera and Skylar. Great grandmother of Sophia. Dear sister Marine Watson, Sandra Elbe and late Diana Neal. Gloria reveled in the simple joys that brought her immense happiness. She had a deep passion for reading, often immersing herself in novels that transported her to different worlds. Her love for puzzles challenged her mind and provided hours of entertainment. Gloria was an avid supporter and season ticket holder of the Cyclones, a testament to her dedication to her hometown. Gloria was a proud member of the VFW MOCA (Military Order of the Cooties Auxiliary), where she found solace in the camaraderie of fellow veterans and held a special place in her heart for those who served their country. Distinctly compassionate and selfless in nature, Gloria was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Gloria passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2024, age 74.
