Gloria P. Heather, aged 91 went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 20th.

Gloria was the only child of the late Paul and Theresa Symmonds.

Gloria was the beloved wife of the late Roger W. Heather for 63 years, and was the dedicated and fantastic mom to the late Tim Heather (Paula), Chris Heather (Anna), and Lynne Toensmeyer (Tom). She was also the grandma to Philip Heather, Stephanie Lincoln, Diana Zipperer, Kate Schaich, and Andy Toensmeyer. She was also the great grandmother of seven.

Gloria grew up in Clifton, and graduated from Hughes High School in 1951. It was at Hughes where she met her cherished friend, Artemis Thomakos, and they remained best friends for all these years.

Gloria loved her family and never met a stranger. If she met somebody in the line at the grocery store, in a matter of minutes, they were friends. She taught her children the morals of good living, as to not judge people on their looks or wealth, but by how good of a person they were. She also was one of the original "cat ladies", having a special place in her heart for the six felines she adopted over the years.

She was active in her church, and taught Sunday School for over 20 years, and never in her entire life said anything hurtful to any person she encountered. She volunteered as a cafeteria worker for many years, as her children went through Monfort Heights Elementary, White Oak Jr. High, and Colerain High School.

The world has lost a wonderful human being, but Heaven has gained an angel. Friends may call at 10 a.m. on Thursday September 26th, with the funeral service beginning at 11 at the Frederick Funeral Home on Banning Road in Colerain Township. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.
