It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Haas, who was born on August 4, 1962, in Cincinnati, OH, and peacefully passed away on his birthday, August 4, 2026. He was the cherished son of the late Norbert Haas and late Elizabeth (nee O'Neill) Haas, and he will be remembered for his bright spirit and infectious humor, which brought joy to all who knew him.

Gary was a beloved boyfriend to Kim Garrison, sharing countless wonderful memories filled with laughter and love. He was a devoted father to his sons, Gary Haas Jr. (and his girlfriend Eve) and Aidan Haas, instilling in them the values of kindness, and determination. As a cherished brother to Vickie (David) Meyer, Gregory Haas, Douglas Haas, and Theresa (Nathaniel) Wheeler, Gary was the heart of his family, always making time for the connections that mattered most. His love extended to his nieces and nephews, who held a special place in his heart and his legacy will continue to live on through the stories shared by family and friends whose lives he touched.

A proud co-founder of Gary's Cheesecakes and Fine Desserts, Gary devoted himself to the art of baking and delivery, ultimately taking over the family business upon his father's retirement. His passion for nurturing talent extended beyond his professional life, as he dedicated 44 years to coaching aspiring young pitchers in baseball, earning respect and admiration for his commitment to youth development. Gary also had a love for cars which shone brightly as he entered numerous vehicles in the Cavalcade of Customs, where he received many awards, further demonstrating his passion for craftsmanship and detail. Above all, Gary's greatest joy came from his family. He cherished his two boys, showering them with love and guidance as they navigated through life. His fierce devotion as a father was evident in every moment they shared, filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering support.

In honoring Gary's memory, a visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 2553 Banning Rd., on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Friends and family will gather from 9:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 11:00 AM. We invite all who knew and loved Gary to come together to share in the heartfelt stories that celebrate his remarkable life. This will be a moment to find comfort in the memories we hold dear and the love we shared.
