With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Fay Brogle, cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, who departed this world peacefully on Friday, August 8, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on January 28, 1938, in Casey County, Kentucky to the late America and late Mary (nee Garrett) Pendleton. Fay was a shining light in our lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Fay was the beloved wife of the late John W. "Butch" Brogle and devoted mother to Pam (Chuck Breckel) Brown, Sharon Kotzbauer, and the late Michael Kotzbauer. She took immense joy in her role as a loving grandmother to Amber Brown, Sarah (Brian) Stath, and Kevin Kotzbauer. Her heart swelled with pride as a great-grandmother to Kyla, Nevaeh, Brennan, Ava, and Abby, and as a stepmother to Mark Brogle and Bill Brogle, she embraced her role with warmth and compassion. Fay also enjoyed the special bond she shared with her step-grandson Dylan Lawhorn and step-great-grandchild Skyler. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother Darrell Pendleton, and she will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Kay Brogle, who held a special place in her heart.

Fay lived life to the fullest, relishing in camping, boating, and fishing adventures. She had a playful spirit, often found engrossed in her favorite game of solitaire on the computer. A regular at Lake Nina's restaurant, she shared many fond meals and laughter with family and friends. But above all, her greatest joy came from being surrounded by her loved ones, creating memories that will linger long after her passing. Fay's journey in this life was marked by resilience, kindness, and a love that transcended words.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Fay's remarkable life with a visitation at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd., on Wednesday (August 13) from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m.
