In Loving Memory of Elly Lotscher, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who peacefully passed away on July 5, 2025, surrounded by the warmth of her loving family. Born on November 19, 1927, in Billand, Denmark, Elly was the cherished daughter of the late Andrea and Hans Jensen. In 1951, she embarked on a remarkable journey across the ocean aboard The Queen Mary, seeking a new beginning in the United States, where she would establish a loving home and community.

Elly was a remarkable woman, known for her unwavering love and dedication to her husband, the late Hans Lotscher, with whom she shared 52 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they created a warm and nurturing home their children: Stanley (Clare) Lotscher, Andre (Peggy Getty) Lotscher, Mary Ann (late Tom) Schmitt, and Johann (Elena) Lotscher. As a grandmother, she took joy in the company of her grandchildren—Cassie (David) Douglas, Adam (Cindy) Lotscher, Jessica Lotscher, Ashley (Chris) Simpson, Elly M. Lotscher, late Jessie Schmitt, Calvin (Chelsie) Schmitt, Dulsie (Ryan) Moore, and Jacob (Lia) Turner, guiding them with her wisdom and love. Elly was also a proud great-grandmother to Corbin Douglas, Nora Douglas, Curtis Lotscher, Adrienne Lotscher, Lila Maye Schmitt, Arianna Simpson, Everleigh Simpson, Heidi Simpson, Coen Moore, Zoey Moore, Connor Turner, and Cole Turner. Elly is preceded in death by her beloved siblings; Holger Jensen, Emil Jensen, and Anna Jensen. Elly will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family and friends, as her memory continues to live on through stories filled with love and laughter.

Elly's legacy is woven through the many lives she touched, both within her family and in her community. Known for her remarkable ability to care for children, Elly found great fulfillment in crafting beautiful quilts, crocheting intricate designs, and tending to her beloved garden. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her home, as she dedicated over a decade volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul in Medford, Oregon, where she made a significant impact through her selfless service from 2004 to 2018. Elly's compassionate spirit touched the lives of many, and her legacy of generosity and love will forever resonate in the hearts of those she encountered.

In honor of Elly's remarkable life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. James Church - White Oak, 3565 Hubble Road on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 10:30 AM. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating the beautiful legacy of a woman who devoted her life to caring for those around her. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made under Elly Lotscher to St. Vincent de Paul, 2424 N Pacific Hwy, Medford, OR 97501 , as a reflection of her passion for giving back.

Elly Lotscher will be remembered not only for her nurturing heart but also for the joy and warmth she brought to the lives of those around her. She will be deeply missed, yet cherished forever. May she rest in peace.
