Edward E. Huy, beloved husband of one month shy of 70 years to Jane (nee Stuminski) Huy. Devoted father of Lynne (Tom) Quade, Janice Huy and Connie Huy. Loving grandfather of Katie (Luke), Scott (Katrina), Steven (Veronica) and Jennifer (Michael) and great grandfather of Tyler (his birthday buddy), Kaylee, Ella, Mazzie, Jayce, Hayley, Blake and Sophie. Ed was born into a family who were among the first to settle White Oak and establish St. James Church. He graduated from the Cincinnati College of Pharmacy in 1949 and owned Groesbeck Pharmacy in the 1960's and 1970's, but remained a farmer at heart. His vegetable gardens were legendary; he enjoyed planting, tending to, harvesting, and especially eating his tomatoes, zucchini, onions, and other summer vegetables. Ed and Jane moved to Georgetown Kentucky in the mid - 1970's. He worked for several different pharmacies before he found his dream job with Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. This allowed him to combine his interest in pharmacy with his love of horses. Ed and daughter Connie were partners in the raising and racing Thoroughbred horses. Ed passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021, age 93. Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church (White Oak), 3565 Hubble Rd., on Wednesday (March 10) at 10:30 a.m. Face masks are required, and social distancing must be practiced.
