In loving memory of Donna L Heid, a cherished wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was Born on May 5, 1953, in Syracuse, New York, to Beatrice and the late John Bowman and peacefully passed away on August 26, 2024, at the age of 71 surrounded by her loving family. Donna's devotion to her family was unparalleled. She was the loving wife of 52 years to the late Donald Heid.  She was a caring sister to Sherry Bowman and Sheila (Rich) Chiumento and a dedicated mother to Joy (Danny) Vernon, the late Paul Heid, Amanda and Donnie Daugherty, Jessica Winchester, John Heid, and Aaron Heid. She was also a proud grandmother to Skyler Heid, Hope Heid, Sebastian Heid, Benjamin Heid, Connor Daugherty, Gavin Heid, Kira Daugherty, Addelyn Winchester, and Caleb  Daugherty, and a great grandmother to Dylan and Henry. Donna shared a special bond with all her family and will forever treasure the memories they created together.

Donna's compassionate spirit shone through her dedication, as she devoted 35 years of her life as a teacher at Cornerstone Christian Preschool, where she touched the hearts of countless children and families. Her commitment to spreading love and Christian values through education will forever be remembered by many.

A heartfelt woman, Donna became actively involved in supporting grieving families after the loss of her son, dedicating her time to the Parents of Murdered Children organization. For almost 20 years, she sent monthly letters to families for the organization, offering solace and understanding in their time of need. Her selflessness and love knew no bounds.

In the final chapter of her life, Donna found solace in her faith, often finding comfort in her readings of the Bible and sharing her love for Christian music with those around her. Her faith was her guiding light, and a pillar of strength during her battle with ALS. Now, she finds eternal peace reunited with her husband and son in the arms of angels.

A celebration of Donna's life will take place at Frederick Funeral Home on Saturday, August 31, 2024. A visitation will be held at 9:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parents of Murdered Children , 635 W. 7th St. Suite 307 Cincinnati, Ohio 45203.

Donna's unwavering love and selflessness will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. While her passing leaves a void in the lives of many, her legacy of compassion and faith will continue to inspire all. Through her generous spirit and dedication to others, Donna Heid brought light and love to the world around her, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace
