Donald G. "Don" Shvegzda, Age 67 of Fairfield, Ohio passed away April 15, 2023. Don was the dearly beloved husband of Kathy (nee Magee) Shvegzda for 42 beautiful years. Loving father of Megan (Paul) Bain and Amy (Jeff) Hunter. Dear son of Grace Shvegzda and dear brother of Bruce Shvegzda, Robert Shvegzda and Judy Potter. He was the loving grandpa of Emmylou and Julius Hunter, special brother-in-law of Fred & Mary Magee, loving uncle of Bryan (Courtney) Magee and Kevin (Katy) Magee and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his father Albert Shvegzda and nephew Jeffrey Potter. Don was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Neil and Marie Magee who always welcomed him with loving arms. Don loved his family with all his heart and spending time with his friends. He was so excited to become a grandparent and always enjoyed playing with his grandkids. Hiking was his great passion and Don and Kathy had many wonderful vacations in the Rocky Mountains and Glacier National Park. He was a big Cincinnati Reds fan and attended many games. Don really enjoyed his Red Mustang GT like a teenager with a new toy. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Don put himself through college at the University of Cincinnati to become a civil engineer. He worked at CDS Associates/CT Consultants, Inc. for 42 years. While at CDS/CT, he served as the Assistant City Engineer then City Engineer of Springdale over a span of nearly 40 years. He genuinely enjoyed his coworkers and serving his community through this position. Visitation at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd., on Saturday (April 22) from 9:30 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM.
