David J. Weisgerber, loving and loved husband of 44 years to Elizabeth (nee Heitfeld) Weisgerber. Devoted father of Katie (Michael) Carmichael, Kelly (Chris) Besl and Kevin (Maria) Weisgerber. Loving and proud grandpa of Lizzie, Van, John, Eve, Abby, Maddy, Colin and Paisley. Dear son of Mary Ann Sagel- Morris and David A. Weisgerber. Treasured brother of Beverly (late Steve) Pleasants, Chris (Don) West and Sherry (Mark) Murray. Loved Son-in-law of Claire and the late Joseph Heitfeld. Caring Brother-in-law of Amy (Tom) Agin, Steve (Terri) Heitfeld, Carol (Doug) Bruser, Andy (Kelly) Heitfeld and Joann (Rodney) Bedinghaus. Favorite uncle of numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Dave will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Dave was an involved and giving member of his community and neighborhood, sharing his talents and time in many ways throughout his life. He coached multiple sports, organized fundraisers, served as Athletic Booster President and Festival Chairperson to name just a few. He fried more fish and chicken than he wanted to think about and cut hundreds of acres of grass maintaining community athletic fields. Dave was one of the first people to show up when there was work to be done and always willing to lend a helping hand no matter how big or small the job was. He was a talented, self taught musician who played multiple instruments. He shared these gifts as a founding member of "Da Mules" and playing the piano and leading sing a longs for his "peeps" at several area retirement communities. Dave passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, November 07, 2022, at the age of 65. Visitation at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd., on Monday (Nov. 14) from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Little Flower Church, 5560 Kirby Ave., Tuesday (Nov. 15) at 10:00 AM.
