With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Claire Steinmetz, who left this world peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on February 9, 1932 to the late Joseph H. and late Clara (nee Nagel) Teepen, in the vibrant city of Cincinnati, Ohio, Claire graced the lives of all who knew her with a warmth and compassion that will forever be cherished.

As the beloved wife of the late Stanley C. Steinmetz, she shared a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Claire was the devoted mother of Kent (Kelly) Steinmetz, Scott Steinmetz, and Lisa (Michael) Young, and her legacy of love continues through her beloved grandchildren: Nick Steinmetz, Jennifer (Kurt) Brueggemann, Christina (Brad) Jelen, Matthew, Jessica, and Brandon Steinmetz, as well as Alex and Drew Young. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Jack, Makenzie, Octavia, and Graham. Claire was preceded in death by her dear daughter-in-law, Melissa Steinmetz, and is welcomed in eternal rest by her cherished siblings, late Ruth (late Jack) Roedersheimer, late Robert (late Marge) Teepen, late Vincent (late Dorothy) Teepen, late Viola Teepen, late Raymond Teepen, and late Joseph H. Teepen, Jr.

Claire was a vibrant spirit involved deeply in her community, particularly the St. James Seniors, where she found joy and companionship. She loved attending church festivals, celebrating Oktoberfest, and indulging in the delight of Taste of Cincinnati. A passionate Cincinnati Reds fan, she eagerly looked forward to Opening Day, embracing the joyous spirit of the season. Together with Stanley, she made countless memories on family vacations across lovely Kentucky State Parks, Gatlinburg, Myrtle Beach, and Branson, each trip a testament to her love for family and the cherished moments they shared.

Above all, Claire was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother with unwavering support, celebrating each of her grandkids' milestones and passions. Family was her everything, and in their hearts, she will remain a bright and guiding star.

Visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd., on Monday, October 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Following this, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. James Church (White Oak) at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, Claire's family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , an organization that embodies the love and generosity that Claire exemplified throughout her life.

As we gather to honor Claire's remarkable life, we will celebrate the love, kindness, and joy she brought to our lives. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of many, reminding us all of the beauty in every shared moment.
