Christopher Nascimento passed away on Thursday, April 15th, 2021 unexpectedly at the age of 52. Born to Carmosino and Jeanne Nascimento in Cincinnati, Ohio, Chris had an intense dedication to the local homebrewing community in Cincinnati. He was the owner of local homebrew supply shop, Brew Monkeys. Chris was instrumentally involved in the early days of Cincinnati's Craft Beer industry through volunteer work, collaborations and committees. He served the Cincinnati Malt Infusers two-terms as president and in various other roles. Chris was actively involved in the community of Northside, serving on the Northside Business Association, organizing the Northside Rock N' Roll Carnival, and many other community events. Chris was a busy man with a big heart, and he supported local businesses, movements, and people in any way he could.

Chris was a loving husband, father, and friend. He had an infectious smile and a warm, boisterous personality. He was known to be incredibly compassionate, personable, and extremely generous with his time.  Not much of a TV person, Chris loved to read and get out and enjoy life. Chris enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially while hiking or playing disc golf. He loved sitting around a fire pit with his friends almost as much as he loved spewing lighter fluid across the flames. He had an incredibly niche sense of humor, and a laugh that could fill a room. Chris was a life-long learner, with a desire to share what he knew with others. He was a man determined to live life fully, in spite of the health trials he faced as a childhood cancer survivor. He was a man driven by the knowledge that time on this earth is both precious and limited. He had an adventurous attitude towards life. It was this attitude that enabled him to make friends, connections, and cultivate community. Chris had a passion for friendships, and a devotion to his family to be reckoned with. There was nothing that he loved more than a warm summer evening spent grilling delicious food with his wife and kids at Mitchell Memorial Forest.

Chris is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Wendy (née Woytsek) Nascimento, and his children Andrew (Kelly), Tiffany and Devin Nascimento. His beloved dogs, Moxie and Scout Nascimento. His mother Jeanne, and brother, Anthony. His grandpups, Merlin & Athena, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd., on Friday (April 23) from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. (only 50 people in building at any given time) Face masks are required, and social distancing must be practiced.

A large celebration of life will be held when the world is a little bit safer and the pandemic has subsided. Donations can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
